How Is This Recipe Anabolic?
The main proponents of this recipe are chicken breast and panko. Panko is essentially breading used for many of the fried dishes. Uh oh, fried, you say? Don’t worry, in this recipe, you can either use an air-fryer or an oven to avoid all those extra calories.
Ingredients:
- 224 g Chicken Breast
- 56 g Panko
- 2 g Italian Seasoning
- 10 g Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
- 2 g Kosher Salt
- 1 g Pepper
- Liquid Egg Beaters
- 125 g Marinara Sauce
- 56 g Fat Free Mozzarella
Cooking Instruction:
- Split the chicken breast in half to thin out the breast. This will allow for the chicken to cook faster
- Take both halves of said cut breast in a plastic bag, smack it till it’s thin baby!
- Set aside the bag, and separately, in a large mixing bowl, add panko and Italian seasoning, parmesan cheese (Grated), salt, pepper, then mix together
- In another bowl, take liquid egg beaters and coat the chicken breast. This is going to allow for the breading to stick onto the chicken breast. We recommend taking 2 eggs and cracking them into a bowl in mixing them. You won’t be using all of the egg as it doesn’t take much to coat the chicken breast. Coat the chicken with the egg, then add breading.
- Either take an air-fryer or an oven and cook for 7-8 minutes (if air fryer) or 20-25 minutes (if oven). IMPORTANT: To save time, make sure you pre-heat the oven, if you’re going the oven route!
- While you’re cooking the chicken, it’s time to get ready for the sauce!
- When the chicken is done cooking, add cheese THEN marinara sauce.
- Place the chicken breasts back in the oven at 375 for 3 minutes to allow the cheese to MELT and the sauce to blend in with the chicken
- Enjoy!
