How To Make Salmon For Bodybuilders In 2021

We’ve all heard of chicken breast and broccoli…but where’s the love in salmon? Salmon is delicious. Along with providing essential Omega 3 fatty acids to combat inflammation, salmon provides a high amount of protein. Combine that with your favorite seasonings and some olive oil, you’re in world the best treat ever! I’ve only recently come to learn how to cook salmon correctly, and by correctly I mean to taste good to my standards. But with this way, I’m sure you will love it too. I used to eat chicken breast and broccoli every day, but willpower could not persist.

Ingredients:

  • Salmon
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili Powder
  • Olive oil

How To Make Salmon Using An Oven:

First off, if you’re using a pan to cook your salmon, STOP! Don’t use it anymore. Unless you’re Gordon Ramsay or you know what you’re doing, I wouldn’t recommend cooking Salmon on a pan. Use the OVEN! If you have an air fryer, even better! But most households will at least have an oven (including mine), so I call out only using an oven to make salmon in this recipe.

  1. Pre-heat your oven at 450 deg F
  2. Take some salmon that you bought from the grocery store, wash it, pat it down with a paper towel. Make sure it’s dry.
  3. Once you have the salmon washed and dried, take a tablespoon of olive oil, and smear it on the skin side. Top with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder (these are the ingredients that I love), and place onto the glass Tupperware.
  4. Take another tablespoon of olive oil and smear it across the top of the salmon. This will get the salmon to cook, and will leave the surface nice and a bit crispy
  5. Finish seasoning the top side with the same ingredients to your liking. I like to be somewhat conservative with the salt and pepper, but do make sure I get a nice even surface of paprika and chili powder seasoning on the salmon, as you can see above.
  6. Give the top a good rub – the seasonings should be even all over
  7. Now put her in the oven! It’s as easy as that!
  8. Set a timer for 20 minutes, then you’re done! No need to periodically baby sit, I’ve already tried and tested this recipe out and you’re going to love it.

What I love about salmon is that it is such an easy and high quality dish. Go to a restaurant and you’re going to see salmon priced pretty expensively. I’ll usually see at least $15 for a salmon bowl from whatever fast food joint, and even prices starting at $30 for a plate with salmon.

What I love about cooking on your own? It’s cheap, inexpensive, usually tastes better, and healthier! You don’t have restaurants adding in all these additives that you won’t even be able to pronounce in your foods if you cook them yourself. Of course its nice to eat out every once in awhile, but wow you’re going to be amazed when you figure out how good of a cook you can be with just the oven!

Try the recipe out! You won’t deal with overcooked salmon if you follow the steps above.

On a bonus note, include some veggies! It’s easy to take some pre-washed greens or some pre-made potatoes and you legit will have a restaurant quality meal.
